I am level 3 qualified and working with children is my passion. I love to observe how they grow and become independent. My hobbies are rollerblading and reading. I love going to roller skate disco! I love spending time with my family and friends and feel very lucky to be working with such amazing children.

I am a level 3 qualified practitioner, and I have been working in early years for the last five years. I find working with children a really rewarding job, and I find encouraging and supporting children in their development is such a special ting. I enjoy being outdoors in the fresh air, and spending time with my horse.

Hi, I’m Geara. I am a mother of 5, 2 children and 3 dogs. I’m NNEB qualified and I’ve been working in childcare for 24 years. I’ve worked with children aged 6 weeks to 16 years throughout various settings. I am currently based in the Hedgehogs room where I work Term-time only.

I began coaching Rugby Tots and Junior Rugby as a volunteer when I was 14 and completed a few different coaching qualifications. I particularly enjoyed Rugby Tots and this helped me to decide that I wanted to work in Childcare. I began working at Forest Rock in December 2023 and I am currently doing my Level 3 Apprenticeship. I am based in the Fox Cubs and once I have qualified I am looking forward to continuing to learn and develop.

I have worked in the childcare industry for several years now, starting off as an apprentice and gaining my level 3 qualification. After a recent break from childcare, I have decided to step back into it, with the intent of helping all the children to the best of my ability. Whilst also, continuing my own learning and professional development.

I am a mother to 5 children. Alongside bringing up my children I have worked in the retail and hospitality industries. I have volunteered between 2014 until 2019 in Childcare settings as well as being on the UMT for Leicester Sea Cadets until 2022. In September of 2018 I wanted to further my education, and I achieved qualifications in different courses, learning skills for working in the Childcare sector. Then in 2022 I came across the opportunity to do a Level 3 Apprenticeship at Forest Rock Day Nursery and qualified in April 2024. I am currently based in the Hoglets/ Hedgehogs Room (Pre-school), where I work Term-Time only.

In 2019 I received my degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice. I began working with children in January 2021 as a Therapeutic Care Worker in a Children’s Residential home near to Belvoir Castle. I then needed something closer to home so began working as a 1-1 Teaching Assistant at Thorpe Acre Infant School in Loughborough, where I worked for 15 months. In my roles I dealt with a lot of challenging behaviour and ways to support those children. I started at Forest Rock in July 2022 as an Apprentice Nursery Practitioner and qualified in January 2024. I began my Room Leader position shortly after and now onto my Senior position.

Hey, I’m Sophie! I am a level 3 qualified nursery nurse who is based in the Fox cubs room on a Tuesday and Wednesday! I have worked at Forest Rock since 2019. I have 2 children, a Daughter Eleanor, who now attends school and a son, Rupert who comes to nursery with me! Outside of work I enjoy days out, walking my dog Buddy and spending time with my family!

Hi, I’m Claire, I have 20 years experience within a nursery setting. I have worked at Forest Rock for 6 years working with all age groups however my favourite age has to be the babies I love watching them grow and achieve their early milestones. I have been married for almost 7 years and me and my husband Simon have a little boy, Hudson 4. Hudson has attended nursery full time with me since he was 7 months old. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, going on lots of walks with our dog Rocky, I am also a big Harry Potter fan so enjoy chilling whilst reading one of the amazing books

Hi i am Drew, i grew up in a military family and have 2 younger siblings, because i am the oldest i have spent time looking after them and helping them learn and grow. I have lived in the village for 5 years and have also previously worked as a waitress at the Curzon arms, which has given me the opportunity to learn the area and meet the people. In my spare time i like spending time with my family and friends, i also enjoy going on walks in the evenings. I have a level 2 in health and social care from Loughborough college, however i have always wanted to work with children so i am now working as a level 3 nursery apprentice.

Hi, my name is Lianne. I moved to Loughborough in April of this year from South Wales. I gained my Childcare qualification in 2006, with 17 years of experience in the same nursery setting. This was predominantly with 0-3 years. In December of 2022, I completed a transition award in play work which focused on the importance of play in early years. This course was great and allowed me to re-evaluate how i did/do my job seeing things from a child’s perspective .I am enjoying this new adventure here with so many more opportunities to grow and watch the children grow and develop too.

I qualified in Childcare level 3 at Leicester college in 2013, where I went on to work in a nursery for 4 years as a room leader until 2017. I felt it was time for a change so I started a career with Waitrose where I worked for 5 years as a customer service lead. During this time I started training as a Duty manager however in 2022 I began to miss working with children, so I said goodbye to the world of retail and then came to Forest Rock in April!

I have worked as a Childminder for 10 years, which also included respite fostering, and worked a number of Summer Playscheme’s for children with additional needs, before working in a Nursery. I completed my Level 2 in Childcare, whilst in my first nursery setting where I worked for 3 years, before joining Forest Rock Day Nursery in 2017. My hobbies are my Grandchildren, which I have a lot of!

I am a fully qualified practitioner with 7 years’ experience in childcare, 5 of those years having been spent at Forest Rock where I completed my childcare qualifications in 2020. I am currently working towards a degree in Primary Studies, having completed modules on childhood studies, child psychology and teaching in primary years. I then hope to go on to become a teacher. I have a passion for the role I am currently in and enjoy every day being a new adventure, seeing things from a young person’s perspective, building relationships with the children & their families and watching them grow and learn through their early years journey.

I completed my Level 2 and Level 3 in Childcare at Little Fingers Pre-school, between 2014 and 2015. This is the same place I worked for 2 years, until I moved to a setting nearer home. Then in 2019 I moved to my beloved Forest Rock Day Nursery. I love working with children because they always have something interesting to say. I like their little smiles and playful cuddles and helping them to learn. In my own time, I like to grow my own vegetables and beautiful flowers in my garden.

I have over 25 years’ experience within catering. During my career I have owned my own business catering for functions such as weddings and birthdays. For 8 years of my career, I have worked within a Public House chain in a managerial role, covering and trouble shooting at different venues within the chain. The rest of my career has been based in schools and nurseries. In nursery settings I have self-managed the kitchens and have always delivered high standards of hygiene achieving level 5 during food standard agency Health and Hygiene inspections and have gained a level 3 in allergy awareness. Needless to say I enjoy my role.

I grew up in Scotland, on leaving school went to University in Glasgow, qualified as a dietician and worked in the NHS for 10 years. In 1999 my husband’s job was relocated to England. I chose to be a stay-at-home mum with our young family and became a registered Childminder. I ran my childminding business for 16 years, alongside working at a Deputy Manager in a local Pre-School. In January 2017, I joined Forest Rock Day Nursery and am currently a Senior Nursery Practitioner based in the Pre-School room.

I have over 25 years of experience in the Childcare Sector. I am Mum and Step-Mum to three children, so I feel that I can offer a lot of personal experience, to add to my professional training. I have been a Nursery Manager for over 11 years, previously being a Senior Manager, Key working a group of seven Nurseries. I started at Forest Rock Day Nursery in 2017 and love the quaintness of the village and all the joy of working in such a friendly and family orientated nursery and area.
