About Us

Our son, Monty started nursery last year. Although he is our second child, I was particularly nervous about him starting nursery. The team at Forest Rock have been superb. Due to being poorly for several weeks and very soon after he began with Forest Rock, Monty didn’t have the best start. As he only attends one day a week and had many weeks where he was too poorly to attend, Monty had become very tearful at drop off. The communication has been brilliant, and they even make sure I am reassured via message after a tricky drop off. He is now a settled and happy little boy when he attends and as such is now developing his confidence and beginning to show the team his cheeky nature! Claire, Renee and Kariena have been incredibly kind and caring towards Monty and our family- thank you ladies! Our eldest son had an operation before Christmas and even though has never attended their setting, they would enquire how Bertie’s health was. I believe this is testament to their family ethos and getting to know each of their families personally.

As parents, it is always a worry to return to work and place your very young children in the hands of others to help raise and nurture them. Finding a provider to put your trust in is so hard but we can say that from the first visit we felt very welcomed, and our children are thriving at Forest Rock. They treat our children as if they were their own, taking their medical needs and own personal routines very seriously. Our youngest did not speak before he started, and this was a concern for us. The staff there have worked so hard with Carter and have really encouraged him to develop and now he speaks and sings so well. Our children are never bored there, they are taken on adventures and seem to always be outside which we love for our children. They learn about different cultures and celebrate special holidays and the work they bring home to us is extra special. We can say that we have full trust and faith in the hard work Forest Rock gives to our children. It will be a very hard day when the time comes for them to move on to primary.

We moved our daughter here after a negative experience with another provider. Since joining, all members of staff including leadership have made it their priority to safeguard, educate and care for our daughter. Communication with parents is strong and all staff are approachable and open. Parents are made aware of their child’s development and updates are timely and informative. The curriculum provided is engaging and ambitious for the children and our child has made significant progress since attending. The framework is used accurately, and parents are encouraged to engage with their child’s development. The environment is enriching and engaging, and our daughter is provided with many opportunities to develop and learn in new ways. Staff are aware of her next steps and inform us of these. The nursery is a home from home for our little girl and the staff go above and beyond for all the learners and their families.

Our daughter, Leila has been at Forest Rock for 11 months now and it really is an extension of our home. Every single member of the Forest Rock staff (family) have been so incredibly supportive, kind, gentle and compassionate to both Leila and us as her parents. We would never ever consider taking Leila anywhere else…these guys are absolutely incredible ❤️
